About the program

Melodies Ensemble is a music education program within the Gefen framework of the Ministry of Education. It gives students a practical music experience inside educational settings through ensemble playing, singing, rhythm, listening, and exposure to Arabic songs, while preparing students to take part in school performances and educational events.

The program is currently active from kindergarten through middle school, and is also available for students up to 12th grade according to the needs of the educational institution, the students’ level, and the structure of the group.

What the program includes

Jawad Abu Younis

Oud player and music educator

Jawad Abu Younis holds a master’s degree in Arabic music from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, specializing in oud performance, and holds a teaching license for musical ensembles. He has worked in music education for 4 years, leading the program through practical experience in teaching music, building student ensembles, and preparing school performances.
